FAQs
What will happen when a shoot is requested?

We will discuss locations and dates suitable for all involved as well as your pets needs and capabilities. I am happy to travel to specific locations which you may have in mind, this may be your pets favourite place to walk or a secure field, or I can suggest some locations as well. If you have a puppy which has not yet had its vaccinations or you want to capture those precious memories of your cat, the shoot can even take place in your home or garden. I am flexible, so whatever your pets needs are, we can find a location that will work for yourself and them. On the day of the shoot we will meet at the location, have a wander around keeping it as relaxed and fun as possible, snapping those all-important photos along the way!
Does my dog need to know fancy tricks or be able to pose?

Absolutely not! Letting your dog be itself, having fun and capturing their personality is what the shoot is all about. It is handy if your dog knows a basic sit and down, however it is no problem if they don’t. Action shots of your dogs running around are always a favourite to capture as well as the posed shots.

What if my dog can’t go off lead?

Not a problem. Dogs can be on or off lead during the shoot, whatever you are most comfortable with. Whether this is due to recall, medical issues or reactivity, whatever the reason the session is tailored to you and your dog’s needs. The photoshoots can take place in secure areas if it's necessary. The most important thing is the dog’s health and wellbeing. With todays editing tools it is also possible to edit out leads if they are positioned correctly.
Can my family get involved in the photos?

Yes, I love it when you get involved! If yourself or family members what to participate in some of the photos taken this can absolutely be done. Your pets are part of the family and having memories of you both together can be just as special and important. I do however ask to keep the number of people attending to a minimum just to help the session run as smoothly as possible.

How far will you travel?

I cover areas of Cornwall and Devon, as well as Bristol. I will travel up to 20 miles from PL18 (or BS16 if in Bristol) which is included in the price. I am however more than happy to travel further for an extra charge of 30p per mile over the 20 miles.
What happens if the weather is bad?

I always keep an eye on the weather forecast for a few days leading up to your photoshoot. If I feel the weather will affect your photoshoot, I will get in contact so that we can discuss it, and if necessary, give you the option to postpone the shoot.

How many photos will I receive and how long will it take to get the photos back?

Depending on which package you have gone for depends on the minimum amount of fully edited digital images you will receive. However, as every pet has their own personality, and every photoshoot is different, it’s difficult to guess what will happen during the session. This may mean more images have been captured then the minimum amount included, and you may therefore be able to purchase more images at an extra cost. I like clients to receive their photos as soon as possible. I know it is always exciting to receive those adorable images of your furry companions back and waiting a long time for the final results can be a pain. Again, the time in which photos will be received will depend on which shoot you have gone for. Bigger shoots will take longer to edit.
Do you offer any prints or framed photos?

Currently I do not, only fully edited digital images will be received. However, in the future, once more established, I would love to venture into being able to offer clients more products like this.
